Our first takeaway from visiting a Cousins Subs location is that they are much friendlier than Subway. Upon pulling up to the drive thru window, we were immediately greeted with a warm smile and a genuine sense of hospitality that set a welcoming tone for our visit. This level of customer service is crucial in the fast-casual dining industry, as it can significantly enhance the overall dining experience. Even if the food were to fall short of expectations, the friendliness and attentiveness of the staff can often make up for it, leaving customers feeling appreciated and valued. We detest the customer service we encounter at Subway locations.

The meatball sandwich we tried had a flavor profile strikingly reminiscent of the meatballs served at Subway, which was rather surprising for us. It felt as though the establishment might have sourced their meat from the same supplier, as the texture and taste of the meatballs were eerily similar. However, there were notable differences that set this sandwich apart. The sauce, for instance, had an almost vibrant quality to it, suggesting that it was made with fresher ingredients, possibly featuring herbs and spices that enhanced its overall flavor. This gave the sandwich a more robust and satisfying taste compared to what we typically experience at Subway.

Additionally, the bread used in the sandwich was certainly superior to Subway’s offerings. While Subway bread often has a chewy consistency that can sometimes feel stale or overly processed, this sandwich was served on a bread that was not only fresh but also had a delightful texture and consistency about it.

In summary, while the meatball sandwich initially reminded us of Subway's version, the differences in sauce freshness and bread quality transformed our perception, leading us to appreciate this new take on a classic sandwich. It left us contemplating how these small adjustments could significantly enhance the enjoyment of such a familiar dish.

When considering a delicious meal that satisfies both your hunger and taste buds, look no further than Cousins Subs. With a menu that also includes sides like Wisconsin Mac & Cheese, Chili Cheese Fries, and a selection of refreshing beverages, a visit to Cousins Subs is sure to be a delightful experience. You won't be disappointed.
