McDonald's likes to claim that they serve "America's Favorite Fries," a tagline that has become synonymous with their brand over the years. This assertion is not merely a marketing strategy; it is rooted in the widespread popularity and consistent quality of their French fries. A significant factor contributing to the popularity of McDonald's fries is their accessibility. With thousands of locations spread across the United States, McDonald's has ensured that their fries are available to nearly everyone, regardless of geographical location. This widespread presence allows customers in urban, suburban, and even rural areas to enjoy their fries without having to travel far. But we found better tasting fries from another fast food chain, founded in the 1970's.

We made a delightful stop at Buddy's bar-b-q, a well-known BBQ fast food chain located in the heart of Eastern Tennessee. This establishment has garnered a reputation for its mouthwatering offerings, and during our visit, we decided to try their french fries, which turned out to be an exceptional choice. The fries were nothing short of near perfection; they boasted a delightful crunch that was satisfying without being overly hard. And the taste was delicious. As we savored these fries, we couldn't help but admire their appearance. You can take a look at the accompanying photo, which beautifully captures the enticing golden hue of these fries. They are indeed golden—each fry glistening from the right amount of oil, indicating that they were fried to perfection. The color alone was enough to whet our appetites, and the taste exceeded our expectations. The balance of texture and flavor made them a standout side dish, elevating our overall dining experience at Buddy's. Visit Buddy's next time you are in Eastern Tennessee, you will be glad you did.
